Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined - despite resources loading

Luke 4 year бұрын updated by Christian Fritz 4 year бұрын 3

Thanks for your time. Struggling a bit to debug BibBase embedded in a Wordpress site via shortcode snippet.

Expected behavior: embedding via shortcode will load the BibBase feed and all resources normally.

Actual behavior: When I'm not logged into WP Admin, I get the dreaded "Uncaught..." error as though the browser can't find JQuery, and the page as such does not render correctly. Huge SVG icons etc. However - I did notice that when I'm logged into WP back end, all the same resources load just fine and the page renders.

Only I can see on viewing source is that when I'm logged into WP admin and testing the page, the dependencies (jquery.min.js, bibbase.min.js, MathJax.js) all load remotely from CDN vs. /wp-content/cache/ when I attempt to access it "cold" from an incognito mode browser.

Anyone else seen this behavior, or does it sound vaguely familiar? Thrown bones appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Problem with weebly integration

nirotem 4 year бұрын жаңартылды 4 year бұрын 5

Hello,

I am new to BibBase and to Weebly, so apologies if I am asking something trivial.

I used the JavaScript integration to my personal website (host on Weebly), and the page seems to freeze. I can't scroll down

Any idea what might be causing this?

Here is a link to the website:

Thanks in advance,

Grouping by year for biblatex format

Dietmar Winkler 4 year бұрын жаңартылды 4 year бұрын 14

I have  list of bachelor and master theses that I display on my webpage thanks to bibbase. The problem is that if I want to group them by "year" then I need to generate my bib file in bibtex format which actually has the "year" field. Unfortunately the bibtex format has no support for @thesis and then "type=Master's Thesis" but always uses either @phdthesis or @mastersthesis which both get rendered as "Ph.D. Thesis" by bibbase.

Solution would be to switch to biblatex formatted bib file. However that one does not contain the "year" field after which one can group but the "date" field instead.

So my question is, is there a workaround that allows me to use the biblatex format but sill group by year?

Author's page only linked for some publications

Till Hofmann 4 year бұрын updated by Christian Fritz 4 year бұрын 2

Since recently, the author's page is only linked for some bib entries and the link is missing for other entries.

As an example, this publication correctly links to this page:

Image 122

This one does not:

Image 123

I initially thought that this may be related to "Last Name, First Name" vs "First Name Last Name" entries, but the two examples actually use the same format.

It might also be related to co-authors, as all linked publications have another co-author who also has a bibbase page.

Anyway, it would be nice if the page was linked from all publications, not just some.

Access inherited bibtex file

rmw61 4 year бұрын updated by Christian Fritz 4 year бұрын 5

Hi, we've inherited a website that allows us to automatically add to a bibtex file and update the list of publications.  What we can't see is where the bibtex file is physically located or how to edit it if we make a mistake.  Is it possible to find that information out?

Cédric 4 year бұрын updated by Christian Fritz 4 year бұрын 9

Hi everyone

I observed this morning that there is a problem when trying to upload papers from my webpage.

The url item in my bibtex file are of the form: Articles/papername.pdf because they are available my papers pdf are available at the following address: http://www.mywebsite.com/Articles/" class="redactor-autoparser-object">http://www.mywebsite.com/Articles/

Bibtex now redirect paper upload attempt to the following address:

http://www.mywebsite.com/www.mywebsite.com/Articles/

which produces an error of course.

What can I do to correct this bug?

Best,

Cédric

Comma and semicolons

Carol 4 year бұрын updated by floris roelofsen 4 year бұрын 2

Hi Christian, We have our page nearly done, but it appears that the semicolon delimiter should be replaced with a comma or with ", and" in the author sections. Is it possible to replace the semicolon with a comma in the base code between the author names? When reviewing multiple bibliography style guides, they all vary somewhat. The more recent style guides use the ", &" before the last name, some use ', and" before the last name, but all use the comma instead of the semicolon as a delimiter. Is that something that can be done? Is there a fee to change it? Below are sample references to this. Thank you!

List by last names and initials; commas separate author names, while the last author name is preceded again by ampersand. This is a departure from APA 6, which only required listing the first six authors before an ellipsis and the final author's name.
