Superfluous entries
Hi,
Bibbase is adding a number of "undefined" entries equal to the number of entries in the bibliography. Here's my site: https://asmith.ucdavis.edu/research Image of the issue below.
Thanks for teh great product.
Aaron.
Not all (667/689) citations from Zotero private group library are available
Hi, I am attempting to move my organization's BibBase page hosted off Mendeley to one hosted off Zotero using the same library. There are slight discrepancies, resulting in some citations that are in the Zotero private group library to not appear on the BibBase page. I believe I have ensured it is using the correct link path, as I don't think I would be getting anywhere near the full amount of citations if I was not. Here is the link to my page:
https://bibbase.org/show?bib=http%3A%2F%2Fbibbase.org%2Fzotero-group%2FGCWealthProject/4501563&msg=embed#
Please let me know any other information I can give that may be helpful. I am also encountering an issue with PDFs (which are cloud-synced in Zotero storage) not being available, if it is somehow at all related, but I have left a comment about that in another related thread -- this particular problem in this post is more unique, however.
Thanks.
Layout perturbed by the bibbase 'link'
Hello,
I noticed the 'link' appearing for each entry in my .bib file only a few weeks ago and it seems to have broken the overall layout with unnecessary line breaks, see https://bguedj.github.io/publications/
Not sure how to fix this -- I've tried rearranging the different fields in bib entries (eg url, doi, abstract etc) but to no success.
Would appreciate your thoughts on this!
Many thanks,
Benjamin
ps: this is my first post here so I'll take the occasion to thank you for bibbase which is a great tool!
Feature Request (Idea): simplified format for single bibtex entry
You already feature the option "hidemenu", which removes the "left part" of the following illustration, where the grouping can be selected:
Would it be much effort to add/implement a second option called "hideyears", which implies hidemenu but on top of that also eliminates all the years? That would be *really* great. :)
The use case is using your service for in-text citations -- rather than using it to show lists of reasonable lengths. I already have many use cases, all of which are primarily motivated by webdesign in a scientific context (rather than the standard use-case of showing lists of publications from an author, institution or event like a conference. I sometimes do want to cite a *single* paper in-text just as a "reference". Having the year-navigation on top (which even is clickable to fold everything in!) is just very odd, it doesn't look good. For this use-case it's just not reasonable.
I hope it will be implemented! :) Maybe that way the tool would be used even more -- in exactly such contexts. :) To give one example, workshops webpages might want to mention a single paper sometimes, or any scientific "report" could use citations in-text where the paper is mentioned. (That's of course already possible, it just looks a bit weird with that navigation if there's just one paper or maybe two.)
This is already supported when just leaving groupby blank:
https://bibbase.org/show?bib=https://bibbase.org/bibs/knuth_selected.bib&groupby=&hidemenu=true
It's recommended to use that with the sort option. See "Customization options" in the documentation for more details.
Error loading references list from Zotero.
Hi,
I love Bibbase, especially the latest theme, thanks for all your work on this.
I was hoping you could help with a recent - but increasingly frequent error. Occasionally when I load my publications page (https://pedrovale.bio.ed.ac.uk/publications) I get the following error message:
- Warning: file_get_contents(): SSL operation failed with code 1. OpenSSL Error messages: error:14090086:SSL routines:ssl3_get_server_certificate:certificate verify failed in eval() (line 1 of /disk/data/www/drupal7/modules/php/php.module(80) : eval()'d code).
- Warning: file_get_contents(): Failed to enable crypto in eval() (line 1 of /disk/data/www/drupal7/modules/php/php.module(80) : eval()'d code).
- Warning: file_get_contents(https://bibbase.org/show?bib=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.zotero.org%2Fusers%2F837863%2Fcollections%2FM9VMJBQG%2Fitems%3Fkey%3DII3rucWmEcbdlGBRNINIxNWX%26format%3Dbibtex%26limit%3D100&theme=mila&owner=lastname&hidemenu=true): failed to open stream: operation failed in eval() (line 1 of /disk/data/www/drupal7/modules/php/php.module(80) : eval()'d code).
I've wondered if this is an issue with my Zotero library, but I can't see what the issue might be. I've used Bibbase using the same Zotero library for a few years and it's always worked very well.
Any help appreciated!
Pedro
no data message using github
bibtex url :
https://github.com/Rian-Jo/home/blob/master/_posts/publication/bibliography.bib
added html at https://github.com/Rian-Jo/home/blob/master/_featured_categories/Publications.md
I created a BibTeX file with the above link. And I tried to generate the Bibbase page but it turns out to be no data. Please help how can I get the right result...?
Thank you.
unicode problems when embedded
http://rawgit2.com/VladimirAlexiev/my/master/index.html shows unicode problems:
Alexiev, V.; Michon, P.; and Dunn, H. In Wébinaire Wiki, data et GLAM 2021, June 2021. Wikimédia France
If you look at the source, you'll see it uses the recommended embedding method.
The same bib file displayed standalone doesn't have unicode problems:
So it seems to me that adding "jsonp=1" messes up Unicode somehow?
Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined - despite resources loading
Thanks for your time. Struggling a bit to debug BibBase embedded in a Wordpress site via shortcode snippet.
Expected behavior: embedding via shortcode will load the BibBase feed and all resources normally.
Actual behavior: When I'm not logged into WP Admin, I get the dreaded "Uncaught..." error as though the browser can't find JQuery, and the page as such does not render correctly. Huge SVG icons etc. However - I did notice that when I'm logged into WP back end, all the same resources load just fine and the page renders.
Only I can see on viewing source is that when I'm logged into WP admin and testing the page, the dependencies (jquery.min.js, bibbase.min.js, MathJax.js) all load remotely from CDN vs. /wp-content/cache/ when I attempt to access it "cold" from an incognito mode browser.
Anyone else seen this behavior, or does it sound vaguely familiar? Thrown bones appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Problem with weebly integration
Hello,
I am new to BibBase and to Weebly, so apologies if I am asking something trivial.
I used the JavaScript integration to my personal website (host on Weebly), and the page seems to freeze. I can't scroll down
Any idea what might be causing this?
