Support special field for custom writing like "best paper etc".
Respuesta
I was also wondering whether people would like to have the ability to mark a small set of papers as "recommended". Often, when someone we know wants to read some of our work, the first thing they ask is: which of your papers on topic X should I read first? For that it might be good to add a start or something to the papers we personally think are the best ones to read.
What do you think of that?
As of the original request, I think it's very important for those who want some custom notes about something, e.g., best paper, also appear in, etc. I would think the implementation of this is stratight forward, Bibbase already supports custom field such as url_link etc. Hope you can get to do this soon.
Thanks again for creating Bibbase, it's quite useful.
Hi Christian, This continues to be an amazing service! One question on the bibbase_note field: I use Zotero. I guess this great new field it is only available on the bibtex option (or is it available on the Zotero option if I tweak the style of my Zotero group so that it includes a bibbase_note field?)
Arianna, sorry this fell through the cracks.
No, I'm not aware of a safe way to added notes to your Zotero publications that will show up on your BibBase page (on the web), but not when someone cites you using the same bibtex entry. You can add text in the "Extra" field of your publication on Zotero, and that will show up as a "note" in bibtex. That will show up on your BibBase page, but as far as I know, it will also show in a bibliography generated by latex.
